Last November, when we were in the theater looking for a film to watch, we were choosing between Babylon A.D. and Death Race. And i saw a big poster of Twilight. The big more than life-size poster scared the hell out of me. A pale looking vampire and an ordinary girl. It intrigued me though i was growing goosebumps at that time. I didn't have any idea what that movie is all about. So, we chose Death Race starred by Jason Statham over Vin Diesel. When we got home I googled Twilight and read the synopsis. I'm a fan of love stories. I watch and read love stories and enjoy every bit of it. Not that I'm a hopeless romantic but lovestories make me feel young and happy. oh well, anyway, i searched it on the net where i could watch it online. luckily i found a site but not too eye friendly but just the same i was able to finish watching it. I liked it very much and wanted to watch it in the big screen. and so i did (twice). i really got hooked up watching the movie and was hunger for more. I found out that it was from a novel by stephenie meyer. I eagerly looked for the 4series saga in all the bookstores in town but unfortunately it was all out of stock. i even searched for it on the internet, but failed. i called every bookstore when they will be having their deliveries but only told me that they'd be expecting it anytime soon. Geez...it is really selling like hot cakes. when we're in Gateway Cubao, i knew that Fullybooked get to have the earliest deliveries other than their competitive bookstores. So, i just tried my luck and my waiting paid of. i saw the incomplete 2-3-4 series laid on the huge table at middle of the bookstore. i was sooo glad that i'd actually jumped with glee. and bought three books. (its a bit expensive though) but that didn't matter at that time i just wanted to satisfy my desire of it. i started reading the second book til the book 4, and this january bought the 1st book at Fullybooked The Block. i have finished all the four books and i'm re-reading the second book. i don't get tired of reading Twilight all over again. its like i dont want to miss anything..every detail that was in the book. its really hypnotic and addicting. i wanted to read it again and again..and watch the movie again and again too.
i'm a fan of the movie and the book as well. since i watched the movie first, when i was reading it its like im watching the actors, the whole cast in the movie. the actors and the rest of the cast perfectly fit their role. the casting was perfect. Edward and Bella were awesome, Jacob and everyone else. I really liked Edward Cullen- Rob Pattinson, and Bella Swan-Kristen Stewart.
I can't wait til the next movie, New Moon. it is really a must see film.

movies...movies...
Does anyone have tried watching a movie a gazillion times? I do. There's this habit of mine of repeating my favorite movies and watching it all over again. I remember the first movie I've watched repeatedly with my cousins (they are all in New York right now) the film was Robin Hood starred by Kevin Costner and Christian Slater. I can't even remember how many times we've watched it. Probably the whole summer while spending it in La Union. I can't even remember if we had a crush on Costner or Slater. But we outgrew that movie. I just had a good memory of my childhood when I remember that movie.
I also watched the famous movie "Top Gun" starred by Tom Cruise. I have watched it so many times (take note its in a theater). I was still a kid my tita had a crush on Cruise and since she's baby sitting me, she would drag me along in the theater to watch it. She asked me to keep it a secret. But of course when I was a bit older I spilled out that secret of ours. haha.
And recently I was hooked up on watching Korean Drama and Movies (courtesy of those dvds found in Quaipo). I was amazed to watch the complete series of a drama. I'd stop working for like 3-4 days just to finish one drama. And when I resume to work, I'd still put it in my computer and watch it again while I'm writing. We'll it keeps me awake the whole night. Sometimes I get so bored writing and feel sleepy. But when I'm watching a movie (esp. the kdramas) I would stay up til 4am where everyone in the house will be waking up anytime soon. But of course, afraid to be caught not sleeping, I'd go to bed just before everyone wakes.
The list of Korean dramas that I've watched soooo many times are Endless Love, Love Story in Harvard, Which star are you From/ what planet are you from, All about eve, Goong (Princess Hours). (I'll update if I remember some)
And for the English movies, Chasing Liberty, A walk to remember, Fast and the Furious 1-3, X-MEN 1-3, Smallville, Prisonbreak. (I'll update if I remember some).
Probably one would say that all those were my favorite. Perhaps, or else I won't bear watching it all over again.
Most of the time I do like the actors. Or I like the movie because its entertaining, enjoying to watch. esp.if its a light movie, romantic, and stuff like that. But of course it is important if I like the whole movie per se. I get bored if the story or plot is annoying.
Recently I missed watching All about Eve and Prisonbreak. So I did watch it again. I missed Jang Dong- Gun and Wentworth Miller.
I wonder who I would miss next. Let's just wait and see. One thing Im sure of is that I'd be watching movies again and again.

ALL ABOUT EVE

The first time I've watched this Korean Drama is when it was aired at GMA-7. I've started watching it until we got all hooked up at home. We want to go home early to catch this drama and rarely go out with friends, afraid to miss an episode. It was dubbed in Filipino and the dubbing is quite good when I heard the actors' original voice.
What is ALL ABOUT EVE, all about? It's about women. A story of two women with different personalities. Both striving to be a good broadcaster in a big tv network, MBS. Erika's character is insecure and envious. Nicole on the other hand is sweet, emotional and a caring type of person. The family background of each woman plays a significant role in their charaterization. The motivation of one's character must be clearly defined for it to be realistic. For example, Erika's character is so mean all through out the story. How come she became that kind of person? Coming from a poor family with separated parents. She was raised by a drunkard father, she earns money from entertaining men in bars. Nicole came from a well-off family, spoiled and pampered. Raised with her supportive father but lost her mother when she was born. Nonetheless she was raised well as a beautiful person inside out. Erika out of frustration and self pity was motivated to be mean and self-centered.
Erika wanted everything what Nicole has, her loving father she never had, a close boy friend (Warren) whose always there, and a prime position in broadcasting. And the ultimate challenge that Erika failed to get is the love and friendship that Nicole have for Kenneth.
Personally, I really love this Kdrama. Plotwise, characterization, phasing, the actors were all good and good looking, and most of all I love how the story ended. When I was watching it I keep on wondering how would the writers end the story. But it was very well done. Nice drama. Love to watch it all over again.
